Pottery Mini Session

Service Description

This 90-minute class is the perfect taste of what it's like to work on the pottery wheel. I provide everything you need (clay, tools, etc). I'll do all the prep work, so when you arrive we'll quickly get acquainted, I'll give you a quick demo, and the rest of the time you'll be working on the wheel! There is no commitment to make and keep something. If you just want to come and experience the wheel, this is the perfect way to do it. You do have the option at the end to choose one or two items to keep. Leave it with me... I will work my magic and just a few weeks later, a trimmed and glazed ceramic piece will be ready for pick-up, for you to use and enjoy, or let it serve as a memory of this really fun thing you experienced! This is also a great experience to share with another person. I can book up to two people at a time for these mini-sessions. This is the perfect opportunity for a date, a day out with a friend or a parent/child activity. I am willing to take students under 16 if accompanied by a participating adult. Booking can be done two ways; By finding an open session on my calendar, or by using the form at the bottom of this page to contact me, and we can figure out something that will work for both of our schedules. *This is an experience and not a class for truly learning how to use the potter's wheel. If you are interested in learning to properly center, open, and throw clay into pottery, please consider the 9-hour Beginner Course. A quick final note: This class takes place in my private home studio, which is inside our house. We have a very friendly older dog that have access to my studio area. I can shut her out of the studio area during the class in case there is a fear of dogs, and I do try to keep the studio clean of excess dog hair, but if you have an allergy to dogs I cannot guarantee you won't react.
